Lynette Rodriguez

Instructor

I am the Mathematics Level 1 and 2 Instructress and have taught at Cayo CET since 2006. After receiving an Associates Degree in International Business from Sacred Heart Junior College, I have a permanent position at Cayo CET to teach Tourism-Front Office Level 1. This was done for over fourteen (14) years and has made me goal-oriented to build a long-term career for my professional growth. During this time, I have also been certified in several specialized trainings from MOE and ETES that have increased my knowledge in the area of my expertise. In 2018, I realized the need to update my skills and educational background, to which I have acquired a PostGraduate Diploma in Education (Competency-based Education and Training for Technical and Vocational Educators) with Distinction from the University of the West Indies. And I have also been certified as an Assessor for my institution. This has helped me demonstrate the ability to promote individualized instruction based on the needs and interests of my trainees.

Now, as a Mathematics Instructress, I firmly believe that the quality of what I teach is more important than the quantity. To some degree, we use math every day and therefore need to know it well to use it. I am very blessed to be an Instructress from Cayo CET and will continue to be committed to assisting my trainees and improving collaborative student-centered learning.
