Tourism Front Office Level One program provides trainees with fundamental skills, knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions required to establish professional relationships with clients on the telephone and in-person, sell hotel products and services, take reservations, perform accounting and night-audit tasks, intervene in safety and security matters, communicate efficiently, perform reception-related operations in both a non-computerized and a computerized hotel environment. The course consists of modules such as Orientation to the Tourism Industry, Hospitality and Professional Communication, Customer Relations, Rendering Guest Services, QuickBooks, Front Office Night Auditing, Reception, and Reservation Procedures. The timeline of the program is 9 months which includes a 1-month practical training with an industry stakeholder. Upon the successful completion of this course, trainees are equipped with all necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to allow them to gain employment and excel in the Tourism, Front Office, and Service Sectors.
