The Electrical Installation Level 1 programme is designed to provide trainees with a broad base of knowledge, practical skills, and attitudes which are fundamental and necessary for obtaining entry level competencies in a wide range of occupations in the electrical and electronic fields. The program is for trainees just beginning their study of electricity; no previous formal training in this program is required. Each subject area covered is supported by an activity manual, an instructor’s manual, and a textbook. These fundamental competencies are also the bases for those preparing to enter their chosen vocation.
Electrical installation work covers both theory and practice for the trainee who wants to understand not only how, but why electrical installations are designed, installed and tested in particular ways. Electrical installation work has become well established, and has helped thousands of trainees and apprentices achieve success in gaining their electrical installation qualifications. This electrical installation program has been restructured and updated, meeting the requirements of the Level 1 BZNVQ and is fully in line with the supply authority (B.E.L.) Belize Electricity Limited and (N.E.C) National Electrical Code Writing Regulations. This truly is the age of electricity and electronics, whether a trainee intends to pursue a career in electricity and electronics or simply needs the material as background information for other pursuits.
After completing this programme the trainee will be able to:
